NOTD – Santa Hat Nail Art

Hi Beauties,

Today’s Nails Of The Day, believe me it really requires minimal products, time but still it looks like you made an effort. Great Na? It’s Christmas, after all!

Christmas is a time of cheer, family and joyful feelings. For some of us, however, Christmas recall memories of family get together, hospitality and, yes, even tears.

This time I’ll make this festive season more pleasant with this Santa Hat Nail Art. Last Festive Season, I did a sparkly red and gold glitter gradient manicure. This Christmas, I need to up my game. I need to be creative yet simple and time saver. I am from the quick and fast Generation and the pressure is on. All I need is an simple yet fun manicure that will make Christmas more enjoyable and impress my friends of this Generation P.

Easy.

Say hellloooooo to my Santa hat manicure!

All you just need is some white coloured velvet powder, a white and a red nail polish–I used the bright sparkly one but you can use a deeper red if you prefer.

Start with clean and dry nails. It’s good that I’ve little bit on the long side so that the fluffy part of the Santa hat can take up the long tips.

I used the red polish to paint the base coat. If you want to, you can do your top coat at this point, because you won’t be able to put a top coat over the end result without ruining it.

Next, I took my white nail polish and painted the tips of my nails. They don’t need to be even, if they are then its good because I will apply white velvet powder over it anyway.

Without letting the white part dry- I used it to hold the velvet powder to the nail–remove off little tufts of velvet powder and press it together lightly in a small strip. Just enough to cover your long white tips.

Firmly press the velvet powder onto the wet white nail polish either from your finger tips or thru brush. If you have excess velvet powder on either side or if it is too much puffy on top, you can shake your fingers a bit or remove the access by using clean brush. Don’t remove too much though, because it still needs to look fluffy to look like a white felt/cotton strip Santa Hat.

And VOILA!
