About Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation: Water Based with SPF 8. In shades especially created for Indian Skin Tones.

My Shade: 02

Product Claims: Invisible finish foundation offers perfect blending and full coverage for a flawless almost invisible finish. Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation Lakme Invisible Finish FoundationMy Take on the Product: I think Lakme has changed the product packaging. Earlier the glass bottle used to be shiney engraved with golden color letters & a shiney Dark Maroon lid on it. No doubt I used those 2 3 bottles that time but some times, I wondered why Lakme has this cheep looking bottle.

Few days back, I got this product comes in a new packaging. Now it still comes in glass bottle but its no more shiny better then the previous one,  Shiny Lid color is same as before and bottle is engraved with maroon color letters. Overall Packaging is looking nicer then the previous one.

Let’s talk about it’s new applicator, previously this product used to come with simple lid. This new packaging gives you the spatula looking applicator, which is good actually. Now it is easy to apply the right amount of product directly on your face and neck. Earlier I had to take the entire bottle to throw some product on my palm. funny! But I am still not liking it’s lid. Just have a look at the above picture, product bottle still gets lot messier then ever.

Bad Bad Consistency! I am really not happy with the kind of consistency, Lakme has given. Its too runny means I really meant it. Soooo Runny and one of the reason of getting messier lid. Now I am habitual and remind its runny formula but earlier it used to fell always on the floor or on my clothes. While taking out the product from applicator, I have to take out the product very carefully by swiping back some product in the bottle. In this process, bottle’s edge gets too messy. Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation I am using shade #02, which was recommended by the Lakme girl on the store. I have so much reddish/pinkish skin tone naturally. So I always avoid using pink, red, Orange undertones. This shade has much more yellowish tone and i am liking it that after using it I don’t look like a red face monkey.

The Smell – The smell is not very harsh and not very mild. so far I didn’t feel any problem with the smell. When you use just enough amount of the product, it just feels like your second skin that’s it. I bet, you won’t feel any stickiness like oil or shinier skin at all as it is totally water based. To get more coverage, you have to take generous  amount of the product or to get some extra dewy finish, I would suggest you to opt for the Lakme CC Cream.

In Humid weather, you have to take care as it is totally water based product and will come off if you’re sweating. In normal days like now, I don’t have any tension and I am honestly sticking with this product these days.

Sometimes, I mention that I’m the girl who is always keen to find out the magical and great products according to my skin type. Cost and Brand name does matter but I am much interested in quality then the price/show off. I Just had to spend 200 Rs. for this foundation and I don’t feel any guilt as this product suits my skin type and tone. I’ve experienced some other high end brands for oily skin but still I did feel some amount of oil like stickiness in them. So I am happy for the price I’ve spent on the product.

Overall, I am happy with the water base formula with some SPF in it. People who cannot handle the runny products, shouldn’t think about this Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation. Girls with super oily and acne prone skin, you should go and buy a bottle of right shade according to your skin and really give it a try. Fully Recommended!
