Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Cream Review

DSC_0182

Hi Beauties,

How are you doing? Well I’m happy about this weekend as I will be going to watch “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2” today. Anyways whats your plan for the weekend?

Frankly speaking, from last few months I’ve been disappointed by few Pond’s Products like last time I thought of using POND’S FLAWLESS WHITE FACIAL FOAM to keep my skin flawless and oil free. But still I considered the second though and felt like trying this product once. So finally, I got my hands on Pond’s White Beauty BB+ 2 days back while shopping some household stuff and reviewing about this product.

Price: Rs. 125 for 18g

About Pond’s White Beauty BB+: The first all in one BB+ fairness cream SPF 30 PA++ from ponds that works from outside and inside. The unique skin colour matching fairness cream gives you a natural looking instant glow on the outside while working from deep inside. For a perfect and glowing look every day.

Product Claims: Pond’s White Beauty BB+ fairness cream SPF 30 PA++ is specially designed for Indian skin and helps give you

  • Instant Natural Glow on outside
  • Lightens your skin and spots from inside
  • Evens skin tone
  • With SPF 30 for skin protection
  • No clogging of pores
  • Light non oily texture

My Take on the Product: Every time I use any facial cream in this world, the very first thing I notice is the oiliness and shine it gives. I’m sure you’ll notice the same if you have oily and sensitive skin like mine. So At first application, I felt it lil oily but actually it is not. It has really light texture which gives you a duey finish but not oily.  It has got the right consistency not very thick not very runny & looked very similar to Lakme CC cream, which is still in the list of my favorite foundations.

It is wrapped in bright pink and sliver colour paper made box which looked average to me, I was not convinced to buy this coz of packaging. When I opened the packet, I just found a sleek white tube with silver lid. I’m not sure if this BB Cream is available in big size but this travel size tube looked very handy and perfect to me. It has sharp notch with small hole which will dispense the right amount of product accordingly.

This cream is really pigmented so small amount goes a long way. While using very first time, I dabbed it on my entire face and found it lil extra amount at the end. So if you’re looking for a light coverage use a very small amount. Dark skin girls who are looking for pearly white shine/coverage may not find it so great in terms of lil dark shade. When I compared it with Lakme CC cream #Beige, Pond’s BB looked more pigmented and a bit darker. and Lakme CC comes with SPF 20 compare to Ponds BB with comes with SPF 3o which is a good thing.

Whatever the product claims, but i was also amazed to buy as it says ” NO CLOGGING OF PORES” & “NON OILY TEXTURE”. I’ve struggled with acne problem so much that’s why I am always keen to explore new products which could bring magical effects 😉

The smell is not as strong like Glam up Powder cream or lakme CC, good for me. Usually I prefer soft smell products as I don’t like feeling of “painted face”.

Overall, I am happy with the product especially its non oily light texture. The price is also great and worth the quality. So go and get it girls. Fully Recommended!

Dear Somya, thanks for getting back to me, Somya, ponds BB cream and lakme CC they both are good but they are just a kind of makeup base/foundation. Whatelse you can expect. There are lots of skin gloss serums out there, you can give them a try.. 😉

Hi Tanishka, Ponds BB CREAM is great and even you can go for LAKME CC CREAM But That is just temporary glow till the time you apply these creams…. Tanishka, I would suggest you to use “Dermoz” this is suggested by dermatologists.. Full of Vitamins and apply this before bedtime daily. I discussed more about this cream here! 4 Secrets: Keep your skin young at any age! hope it helps 😉

Hey Silky, yes, it is a kind of foundation with richness of vitamins and SPF in it. You can use it daily but as far as the natural beauty is concern, most of the creams contains chemicals in it.. So try to avoid any cream if you’re at home, so that the pores can even get to breath 😉

Yeah they both work good! As the summers are on is way, so I will prefer to the people with oily skin to go for Lakme Invisible finish!

Whenever i need light coverage without getting any oiliness I go for the invisible one! I use it may b every day…

For duey and lil heavy finish for any event etc I go for Lakme CC Cream.

Hi Priya, It depends, how dark skin it is… if it is not much dark, it will work otherwise for darker skin tone, it will show up and look strange… it is like a foundation but the only downside is, it comes in only 1 shade 🙂 hope it helps!

I come across TVM Fair Look as I was looking for some product who can work on pimples on my oily skin with out any adverse side effect on the skin.
I decided to use TVM fair look as I found it complete ayurvedic solution with no known side effects. I must confess, initially, I was a bit apprehensive but when I used it for a couple of weeks, I get my pimples removed and a visible glow on my face. I would like to recommend
it for anyone looking to get rid of pimples and in general as well.
