VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion VS Lotus UV Screen Matte Gel Review

VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion VS. Lotus UV Screen Matte Gel

After a chilly winters who won’t like to enjoy the beaches with colorful floral dresses and shorts but when it comes to skin, it needs tender love and care because scorching sun spares nothing. As mentioned previously, sunscreen is your best friend even in monsoon then these scorching summers give you enough reason to keep the sunscreen handy.

A sunscreen’s primary job is to protect our tender skin from the harmful infamous UV rays BUT not at the cost of make you look an oily fritter directly coming from wok! Gone are the days when we compensated with oily looking skin to protect from sun rays.  Here I am presenting 2 requisites of a good matte sunscreen to pick from without making your face look oily.

Let’s start with my favourite one!

Rs. 295 for 50g

SPF 50 UVB, PA +++, UVA

As seen on T.V, I was very much excited to get this sunscreen matte gel. I have super oily acne prone skin, the product also claims that it is made for normal to oily skin and I love everything which is matte. Oily stuff make me look like, I am putting much more oil on oily surface. The packaging is as usual lotus’s other sunscreen tubes and travel friendly.

It’s quite a transparent looking white gel, the smell is not very pleasant to me but after notes of the smell feels lil spicy. Anyways, as the name suggests, the matte effect is very promising, very lightweight and non greasy. It also absorbs very quickly into the skin. Honestly, I don’t have any complaints from this matte gel. I think its worth the money I have spent on best sunscreen for oily skin. I wish, this matte gel could be available in bigger tube.

Tube and packaging is almost same, it’s fragrance reminded me the pineapple flavoured tonic which doctor prescribed me in my childhood. But I can bear it. Its consistency is clay mask types, I mean lil thick and creamy let’s come to the point!

I am not degrading this VLCC matte look sunscreen lotion but I only have few problems with it. As the product mentions it is for all skin types, which means this product doesn’t focus much oily skin. It’s matte effect doesn’t match my super oily skin needs. Yes, normal and dry skin people will surely like it. And I don’t like it’s after applying white coverage on face. It is ok, if you are applying a very less amount of it but incase you apply the generous amount, you will end up getting a prominent white layer on your face. Which is not pleasant for me at least.

So every time I use this VLCC matte look sunscreen, I always take care of the amount and advice you people the same. Otherwise I don’t have much grudges to downgrade this lotion. 😉 I will surely consider this after the Lotus one.

Enjoy the summers!
