If you have met a lovely man in your life and his birthday is coming up it might make you panic a bit. Buying gifts for someone you don’t yet know very well isn’t ever easy and having that someone be your romantic interest makes it just a little bit harder.

You might be really into fashion yourself and might have picked up his general fashion style by now. Buying clothes for a man isn’t necessarily easy and you don’t want to make him feel like you are trying to influence his style. But going for a simple t-shirt that suits his style is still a really good gift idea.

Get something he can wear on his day off from work so that you have more opportunities for getting something he likes.

If you know he likes sports or music then get a t-shirt that relates to these. If you are really bad at picking the right size then consider the other suggestions on this list first.

• A Manly Gadget

As a general rule of thumb most men enjoy their gadgets. And so as a really safe gift option to go with for the new man in your life you could consider getting a gadget. It can seem quite weird and odd for you but he’ll most probably love it anyway as long as it is something to play around with.

Simple household gadgets could perhaps work the best. If you know he likes to bake or cook then some sort of kitchen gadget could be a fun idea.

If he is a businessman and works in an office environment then an office gadget is something cute to go with.

• A Quality Vintage Drink

Men are always up for a good quality drink and this can be a really good birthday gift idea for a new romantic interest. Getting a bottle of his favourite drink is a really nice way of celebrating the occasion and won’t feel like something inappropriate.

You could get a vintage whisky bottle if you know he is a fan of that drink. If you are unsure of his favourite drink then vintage wine as a gift for birthdays is always a safe option to go with. This is a nice thoughtful gift that will most likely go into good use. You two can even share it over a romantic meal and get to know each other better.

• A Must Read Book

Many men also enjoy reading good books even though it is often thought that they don’t. You’ll probably know just a little bit about him to get some ideas for a book gift. For instance, if you know he has a hobby he is really passionate about you can get a book about it.
