In my last review about Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Color Shades, you could see me happy after getting few shades from this range. I was so convinced by Lakme Absolute range, shades, lipstick quality and their longevity; which led me to try my hands on another product from same range. I’ve never tried any skin gloss in my life yet but that Lakme advertisement girl with glossy skin resulted me to try one and check out my full review here:-

My Take on the Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Creme:

Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Creme comes in a black matte color paper packaging, it looks very simple yet sleek. Brand logo and other details from silver color are scribbled on the packaging. The actual product comes in a a shiny Black color tub looking container and shiny aqua blue colored lid on. By the first time, It looked like, it is made of breakable glass but it is not. The container is made of unbreakable plastic. Usually, I prefer flip open cap for everything because they are handy and travel friendly but unfortunately this product comes in a tub.

When I opened the lid, the skin gloss is very hard perfumed and I could smell the coconut base notes in it. Sensitive nose beauties can’t handle this smell. The skin gloss is light aqua blue in color with gel consistency with very light weight texture. 

Anyways lets come to the point. As I mentioned earlier that this is the first time, I have bought skin gloss. While buying this product, I was so very confused yet excited. As you guys know, my skin is too oily too handle so I am always in search of sunscreen,  face wash which makes me look matte. I got this product by hoping to get magical and smooth finish. I can’t emphasize more that I have too much oily skin and “I hate when I have to blot my face multiple times a day or throw on lots of compact powder to get the matte look”. After using this skin gloss, I wondered; Am i crazy to put more shine on my oily skin??

As the product claims, It could hydrate the skin and making it moisturized but I am damn sure, NO ALREADY OILY looking girl won’t like to put it on her face. Alike product mentioned on packaging, how backstage experts deconstructed this glossy look! “Let me tell you girls, Those models are putting it on a show & under thousands of lights, cameras and getting paid for everything. We are here in real life, we can’t slap more oil on oil to show off!” 

It could benefit dry skin girls and ladies above 30 who are loosing their natural skin glow. Also this product doesn’t give any unique lustrous skin but make it more shiny like other oily creams does. So, what’s the point of spending 399 on a 50g tub. To get this similar shine, you could buy some oily moisturizer.

“Overall, I don’t recommend to burn a hole in your pocket for this product!”

The Good things about Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Creme: 

• Light weight Texture Glides Smoothly
• Few dabs on face is enough

The Not-So-Good things about Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Creme: 

• Tub makes it messy to use
• Pricey
• Not beneficial for Oily skin girls
• Doesn’t have SPF
• Strong Smell

Not in this Life. Will buy may be in next life if I get dry skin 😉
