It has been a long gone, since I posted a product review myself. Reason is, I am trying to save bucks; especially on cosmetics as well as I am trying to keep my skin away from different cosmetics trials. If I am going for a casual outing not looking for a full coverage makeup foundation, few dabs of BB creams are my saviour. I am currently using L’ORÉAL MAGIC SKIN BEAUTIFIER B.B. CREAM, I love its texture and coverage. As I was running out my BB Cream so I decided to go to the drugstore before I am left with the empty tube of BB Cream but unfortunately I couldn’t find a single tube on shelf. I decided to give this Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Matte Foundation a try. BB cream is one of my cannot-leave-the-house without Product. For some reason, My neck/ hands is kind of pale but my face is so sensitive and looks all red without foundation. Without wasting some more time let’s begin reviewing the product.

My take on Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Matte Foundation:-
I mistakenly picked out the Matte foundation where I was looking to buy a BB cream. As far as the price is concern, its almost the half price of BB cream I use so that’s a good part for people who are looking to buy a matte foundation.
There are two types of foundations are available, regular and matte one, I picked up the matte one obviously. I loved this handy tube packaging which looked like a BB Cream to me 🙂
I love the kind of finishing it gives on your face, It’s a medium coverage foundation but few small dabs goes a long way. The packaging is handy too. I am not very impressed with the consistency, it’s a kind of thick paste in the tube which make it a bit hard to take out the product as well as spreading it onto the face. You have to rub the face in order to make it look evenly spread. As mentioned above my facial skin is sensitive and rubbing makes it worse.
“Sadly I picked up the wrong shade first as I couldn’t find out the right shade first time so it made a mess the first time i used this Rimmel Foundation. I was on my way to an appointment, this is when I decided to use this foundation and It was truly an odd ball. Wrong Shade & Rubbing made my looked like a “Clown face with Strawberry Kick”. I had to wash my face and starting the base with my original BB Cream all over.”
As far as the Matte part is concerned, this is really an actually matte finish. Be careful, it might make you look cakey so add an extra layer for moisturiser before applying this matte foundation.
Final Take: Other might be liking this but for me I would not go for this extra matte foundation; instead I will go spend a bit more and pick up a water based BB Cream/foundation than this matte finish.
